IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR PARENTS: Online team registration is now open. Swim team parents please follow the Join Us link on the right navigation bar to register with the team for the 2008-09 short course/long course season. Swim lessons parents will still use the paper registration form, which can be downloaded from this site or picked up the first day of lessons.

31 Blue Devils competed at the Smith Mountain Lake Open Water Swim on September 20th and 21st. On Saturday our Blue and Senior Group swimmers took to the water for a 5k race. Kurt Housh finished first for FUAC with a time of 1 hour 12 minutes, while Michelle Caron finished for on the girls side for FUAC with a time of 1 hour 14 minutes. On Sunday they took to the beach for a 1 mile sprint. Housh and Caron were again the top finishers for FUAC, followed close behind by Sito Arroyo and Sherif Ibrahim, while Stephanie Nardone took the overall first place finish in her age group! The weather was perfect and our swimmers did fantastic. Next up the team travels to Lynchburg for the first invitational of the season, September 27-28.
