Our Blue Devils registered an incredible 34 first place finishes, 23 second place finishes, and an additional 42 top eight finishes at the Gator B/C Invitational this past weekend. Memorable performances were put in by the trio of Johnnie Hineman, Laura Neelley and Katie McIver who swept the 15-16 year old 200 freestyle. Sierra Durham came up gold in the 100 fly after shaving off over 16 seconds from her personal best time. The 200 backstroke was a good event for the brother/sister Arroyo duo. Sito Arroyo dropped 15.25 seconds (1st Place), and not to be out done, Maria Arroyo dropped an amazing 17.64 seconds in the same event on the way to a 1st place finish. Other big time performances came from Rebecca Gardella in the 100 freestyle (best time by more then 10 seconds), Katie Wilson in the 200 IM (best time by over 11 seconds), and Leanna Knisley (best time in the 50 free by over five seconds). Other multiple first place finishes came from Stephanie Nardone (100 IM, 50 back, 50 free, 50 fly, and 100 back), and Lindsay Price (100 IM, 25 breast, 200 IM, 25 free, 50 breast, and 25 fly).
