Learn-To-Swim Program
FUAC learn-to-swim lessons are designed for the novice child. Our beginner group works on water/pool orientation and fundamental skills of swimming and water safety. Our advanced group continues working on the fundamental skills of swimming, learning the basics of the four competitive swim strokes and diving. These lessons are open to children in the community age 4 and up.
When We Practice
Lessons are held every Monday from 6:30 – 7:15 pm for the Advanced Group, and Thursday from 6:30 – 7:15 pm for the Intermediate and Beginner Groups. Our lessons run in four two month blocks. Below is the block schedule:
Block 1: Sep – Oct
Block 2: Nov – Dec (end mid Dec)
Block 3: Feb - March
Block 4: April – May
Although we have rolling membership and you may join at any time, it is highly encouraged that you join at the start of a block to ensure continuity of lessons. Class space is limited. Click HERE for more lesson information.
How To Join
Either contact Coach Bocci, 434.842.4210/ boccij@fuma.org, or show up 15 minutes prior to lessons. We have rolling enrollment.it's that easy. You may download the registration form here or pick one up at the pool. Lesson Registration Form.
Lesson Cost
The cost of lessons is $30 a month per child. You will be invoiced the 1st of the month for the proceeding month. Half months (April and Dec) and cancellations due to weather/facility scheduling will be prorated.
